Background info:

This is our very first lots from Panama, which is often associated with the famous Panama Geisha for good reason. These lots are world-renowned but this time we decided to focus on the country and all it's beauty. We got the opportunity to work directly with the Ruiz Family Estate so I guess you can officially call this "direct trade".

The Ruiz Family works closely with neighbouring farms where they provide the facilities for independent farmers to process their coffees. This particular lot is from their family farm La Vanguardia where they typically grow prized Catuai and Pacamara cultivars.

We decided to showcase to you their Pacamara naturally processed lot, a fitting coffee to classify as our Reserve. This coffee benefits from the Sandy-Clay-Loam soil type and the ideal temperature climate ranging between 14 - 26 degrees. This coffee went through a classic natural process style which often gets overlooked.

On filter we picked up a range of boozy flavours such as purple grape, cola and freeze dried strawberries and then some peach. The espresso represented similar characteristics as filter but with a few more berry notes. On milk we picked up strawberry milkshake and chocolate covered blueberries. This is a great coffee whichever way you try to brew it.
