The SCA Barista Skills Professional course is designed for experienced baristas who want to deepen their technical expertise and fully understand the science behind high-level coffee preparation. This course is ideal for baristas with at least 12 months of experience, especially those in senior or supervisory roles.
Over four days, participants will develop advanced knowledge of ingredients, extraction techniques, milk science, workflow optimisation, customer service, and leadership. Candidates will learn how to consistently maximise drink quality, manage and mentor other baristas, and maintain equipment to professional standards.

Recommended (not required): Introduction to Coffee, Barista Foundation, and Intermediate Brewing.
Mandatory: Barista Skills Intermediate certification.
Certification
Includes a written online exam (30 questions; 80% to pass) and a practical exam (80% to pass). Successful candidates will receive official SCA certification.
