Background info:

We are back at it with another stellar coffee from the guys at Migoti Coffee. Our third release and second year working with Dan and Pontien doing incredible work in Burundi. This year we got to spend time with the guys here in Cape Town as they showcased their projects for the coming years and new lots.

This time we got to taste coffees from the Kigina Hill which was the standout on our cupping table. This lot has been naturally processed at their Kinama washing station, where our previous Migoti lot came from. The Kinama Hill of last year was such a hit with a prevalent note of orange marmalade.

This lot tastes a lot more vibrant with fresh fruit notes. On filter we picked up notes of white peach and dried cranberry leaving quite a juicy mouthfeel but nothing too tart. Surprisingly this coffee shone brightest as a milk beverage with a pleasant note of English toffee that we could drink all day.
